Picnic

That was first outdoor picnic. Satten da called me on thursday night, if we are willing to join them and Balaet vai's family for a picnic. Of course we agreed.

So we started our cooking. Actually Shanila cooked, I just gave hands.

The food was actually way better than we expected !! Niam niam !!

Home sweet home

It's a great thing to get home and jump into food. Today I came home and wow, some great food was ready on the table.

Shanila made some fried Chinese rice, chicken grill, "khicuri" and egg vuna.

I felt like coming home :)

First invitation

Sandun and Chamari, the great young Srilankan family here, invited us for the dinner... great second night it was here !!

Started with snacks..mmm...


then "woooo" dinner...
salad, coconut potato rice and chicken !!
(I couldnt almost breathe afterwards, ate so much )

Oh, I forgot to mention again, Chamari is expecting a baby in 1.5 months

We have chatted for long. Had fun with similarities with languages..

Shanila: What's that fruit in English ? Tal ??
Sandun: ow..taal..taal
Gagan: Ow, u call it taal too hahaha

Well may be its not that funny to read, but it was fun for us.


And ohhhh... they gave us a superb gift, totally unexpected !!

First day

Our first day was at Helsinki...
There was some concert and to my greatest surprise there was no seat in the first two morning trains (quite rare for Finland, but looks like it was a very popular concert), so we had 3 hours to roam around the city


I think the statue moved its head to look at us ;)
So Shanila got afriad and ran away (to take a pic)...
